Smoked Tart Cherry Shrub Syrup

    Tart Montmorency Cherries have been smoked with hickory and then made into a shrub syrup. A natural fit with bourbon or rye for an easy gourmet cocktail.  Also great on greens and fresh salads (add a few tablespoons oil for great salad dressing).

    Ingredients: Smoked Montmorency cherries, apple cider vinegar, organic cane sugar.

    The shrub syrups are shelf-stable, so they’ll last indefinitely unopened, and 6-8 weeks or longer once opened if refrigerated.

    When combining with plain soda, 2-3 Tbsp per 8 oz. glass is a good start.  For cocktails and mocktails, start with 1/2 oz., depending on the strength of the spirit you are using.
